Industrial products, energy and specific concessions are often traded on regional or even global scale. A good example is natural gas that is sold on a global scale. Analyses are used to measure the quality and quantity of the delivered goods. These analysis results must be traceable, comparable and accepted by all involved parties. This will prevent double work or discussions regarding the amount or quality of products. Therefore, results must be traceable to international standards.

An independent certifying body often accredits analyzing laboratories. This accreditation proves the competence to perform certain analyses. Several Linde Gas facilities have acquired these accredited analysis methods. The gas reference materials that are certified by these laboratories are acknowledged as standard reference materials by e.g. Cofrac, DAP, N.K.O., Swedac etc. These products are in accordance with ISO 17025 and EN 45001. As an alternative, Linde Gas can also supply calibration standards that are traceable towards other standards or guidelines.
Examples are:

  • Kilogram traceable gas
  • NMi traceable gas
  • NIST traceable gas
  • EPA protocol gas
